Train in St Ives station

map showing station

By train

There's a good train service down to the west country - the main line ends in Penzance, just across the peninsula from St Ives. But many trains stop in St Erth from where there's a branch line to St Ives. This is a lovely picturesque journey, one to be enjoyed. It's about 15 minutes walk from the station in St Ives to our flats.

By car

Good roads, mostly motorway or dual carriageway, make the journey down through the west country quite easy. From experience we can say it's about 5 and a half hours from west London.

Parking in St Ives

Our two bedroomed flats each have a parking space, and we have a garage to let. Otherwise, the Barnoon Pay and Display carpark is very close behind Seabirds House - you'll need £1 coins and it costs about £35 for the full week. St Ives is not dominated by cars - driving through the town centre is not really recommended and we provide a detailed route for our visitors which avoids the town.

By coach

National Express serves Cornwall from over 1,200 cities, towns, villages and airports around Britain. From London Victoria Train Station and Heathrow Airport there are six services every day to Cornwall. Link

By air

It's possible to fly to the airport at Newquay. From there you'd need to hire a car or take a taxi - it's about 22 miles to St Ives.
